All Speyburn single malt is matured in air-dried oak casks seasoned with bourbon or sherry. These excellent vessels help the spirit fully develop its natural qualities. Speyburn is matured in traditional dunnage warehouses. Those dark, cavernous buildings provide the optimum temperature and humidity for a long and even maturation process. As the whisky slowly ages it becomes smoother, sweeter and more flavoursome, resulting after many years is a single malt whisky we’re proud to call Speyburn.

Speyburn Distillery
For generations, the Speyside region of Scotland has been known to contain some of the cleanest and most mineral rich waters in the world. This is what drew Hopkins to the area in search of the perfect place to found a distillery. After a long time hunting for the right spot, Hopkins finally discovered a secluded valley near a freshwater tributary of the River Spey. It was there he found the Granty Burn, an untouched hidden stream. He knew that the burn's exceptionally pure water would produce a remarkable whisky with a naturally refreshing character. It is here that he broke ground and founded the Speyburn Distillery, beginning his legacy.

Both Google and Apple maps will take you straight to us. Those using more traditional methods; from the South, drive through Rothes high street until you come from Rothes roundabout. Take the 3rd exit (B9105 North St) for 300m before taking a left at signpost marked Speyburn Distillery.
