International Beverage declared one of the UK’s Best Workplaces

18.03.24

Best Workplaces UK 2024

International Beverage was one of 105 companies to feature in the ‘Large Organisations’ category on this prestigious list – and one of only a handful from Scotland and the drinks industry.

The company was already certified by Great Place To Work – an organisation trusted as the global authority on workplace culture – however this is the first time the company has received Best Workplace recognition.

The scheme engages employees using a research-backed ‘Trust Index’ survey, alongside a questionnaire about the workplace. These findings are independently analysed to identify and promote a genuinely great employee experience and company culture.

International Beverage employees noted the company’s commitment to getting the best from people right across the business, and initiatives such as the ‘Sustaining Our People’ health and wellbeing programme.

Toasting the Award last night, Managing Director Malcolm Leask paid tribute to his team, saying:

‘As an ambitious business with a growing portfolio of brands, our people have always been our biggest priority and the key to our success. We already have one of the drinks industry’s strongest track records in terms of employee satisfaction and length of service, so to be recognised by such a global authority in employee experience really is something to celebrate. A huge well done to our Human Capital team and to everyone across our business who invests so much in bringing our company’s values to life and to building a culture at work where every person feels valued, supported and included as an individual.’

As a globally recognised and research-backed verification, certified Great Place to Work companies have been found to have an advantage when it comes to recruitment and employee retention, empowering organisations to build cultures that retain talent and unlock the potential of every person.

Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director of Great Place To Work® UK added:

‘At Great Place To Work our overarching goal has consistently been to enrich the world of work by empowering companies to evolve into exceptional organisations that cater to everyone. We wholeheartedly endorse the idea that what's 'better for business' aligns with what's 'better for people,' ultimately contributing to a better world For All.

‘Year after year, it's truly inspiring to witness a growing number of organisations earn a spot on our UK’s Best Workplaces™ List, we’ve seen our client’s Trust Index scores increasing meaning the bar for being on this List getting higher. This recognition is no mean feat and highlights companies across the UK that excel in fostering high levels of trust in leadership, instilling pride in their workforce, and cultivating strong camaraderie among colleagues. These crucial elements collectively contribute to creating workplaces where employees feel they can truly be themselves and thrive in a supportive environment. Congratulations to International Beverage for being part of our 2024 UK’s Best Workplaces™ List.’
