25.04.24
International Beverage has today announced the appointment of Emmanuel Dokhelar as Managing Director of Larsen Cognac, following its acquisition of the Cognac-based brand in September 2023.
He joins our senior management team and will focus on strengthening Larsen’s position in key Nordic markets and across the company’s network of global distribution partners, with a specific focus on Asia.
Larsen Cognac was founded in 1926 by Norwegian adventurer Jens Reidar Larsen after he settled in Southwest France. It is one of brandy’s enduring success stories, with a portfolio of acclaimed expressions and aged eau-de-vie stock.
Emmanuel has two decades of experience in designing and delivering drinks brand strategies in emerging and developed markets across Europe, South East Asia and Latin America.
This includes 12 years at Pernod Ricard, initially as Mumm Champagne Global Brand Director and latterly as Marketing and Business Development Director in Malaysia and then in Thailand. Most recently he has been a sales and marketing consultant at Champagne Bollinger.
Commenting on his appointment, Emmanuel said:
'I am very pleased to be joining Larsen Cognac and International Beverage at this exciting and transformative time. These exceptional Cognacs are authentic, expertly crafted and with a wonderful story to tell the world, and there is so much potential to build their profile and market share in the future. I’m looking forward to working with their talented team to take this brand to the next stage in its development.'
International Beverage Managing Director Malcolm Leask added:
